I am currently using the dexcom g7 sensor along with my omnipod 5 insulin pump. The g7 is supposed to be the best cgm but it is not. I have had nothing but problems since my doctor put me on this junk. It is supposed to be accurate for 10 days but the best I have gotten is 9 days. When my device says your sensor expires in 24 hours, that’s when my readings go haywire and I have to change it a day early. I get low readings and have to do a finger stick and the finger stick is in normal range for me. Or it may go as little as an hour without a reading and that is not good either since I am using an automated insulin pump that is dependent on the g7 cgm. Today I changed my sensor and within 45 minutes without any particular reason, it fell off the back of my arm. I called support and they refused to send a replacement sensor. I only get three sensors a month and since Dexcom refused to honor a defective sensor, I have to go 8 days without my insulin until I can get more sensors from the pharmacy. Before I started using these worthless sensors, I was using the Freestyle Libre 2 sensors with very little issues. When the Freestyle Libre 2 sensors would give me problems such as falling off or a bad reading or quit working, Freestyle would send me a replacement without any problems and I would receive it within 3 days. Dexcom does not honor their sensors. If it falls off or quits working all together, oh well to bad is what they say. As soon as I see my diabetes doctor again, I am going to have her switch me back to the Freestyle Libre 2. I do not recommend the worthless dexcom g7 sensors.
