The AFO (Ankle Foot Orthosis) is a supportive orthopedic foot brace.. It’s clinically designed to assist people with foot drop, lower limb weakness, or neurological gait conditions. For ease & safety of walking, it’s made with lightweight and contoured material. The brace helps alleviate foot and ankle positioning, making it easier to walk. The 5904/5905 ankle foot orthosis is a pre-shaped AFO brace for drop foot, stroke, or nerve injury. Fits left or right leg, supports plantarflexion, dorsiflexion, and aligns gait inside most adult shoes. AFO always designs for long-term wear to offer a snug anatomical fit. Buy it today and reduce heel pressure, fatigue, and risk of contractures.
Product Features
Supports Drop Foot Correction
Helps maintain dorsiflexion (upward foot movement) to reduce foot dragging. It’s for different gait disorders like foot drop or peroneal nerve palsy.
Shoe-Compatible Fit
Low-profile AFO ankle brace easily fits into most adult shoes. Use it with even custom orthotic footwear and wide-toe models.
Even Pressure Distribution
Anatomically contoured shell distributes force across the calf and foot. The design itself reduces pressure points and skin breakdown.
Durable Polypropylene Material
This injection-molded orthopedic foot brace resists cracking, fatigue, and warping. Perfect for long-term regular rehabilitation use.
Stable Walking Mechanics
Controls unwanted foot motion and supports neutral alignment. Provides secure ambulation for neuromuscular impairment with hook-and-loop closure, no Velcro used.
Worn All-Day Comfortably
Lightweight and breathable design makes this AFO for adults suitable for extended use during daily routines.
Who Is It For?
This AFO foot brace is designed for patients managing neuromuscular conditions that limit ankle control. It can range from foot drop to peroneal nerve injury, or post-stroke hemiplegia. Its structure supports stability and helps maintain a safer, more balanced walking pattern for users needing lower leg support during everyday activity or long-term recovery.
- Recovery from nerve palsy or CVA
- Support for peroneal weakness
- Correction for involuntary plantarflexion
- Bracing for postural leg instability
- Reducing contracture risk in chronic cases
- Supportive option for drop foot gait correction
How to Wear:
- Always wear a clean, wrinkle-free sock extending past the top of the AFO brace.
- Slide the foot in and ensure the heel is fully seated at the back of the brace.
- Fasten the ankle strap first, then the calf strap using hook-and-loop closure.
- Put your brace-attached foot into a shoe (it’s fitting for shoes).
- Secure the shoe snugly with laces or fasteners. Tightening will help prevent shifting.
