Features of OA Hinged Knee brace
Versatile ROM Control
Custom hinge settings offer controlled movement limits for rehabilitation, injury prevention, and daily use across multiple joint conditions.
Targeted Joint Alignment
Built-in valgus/varus adjustability shifts joint load and supports correction of bowlegged or knock-kneed posture.
Durable Medical Frame
High-strength, low-weight aluminum and polymer construction withstands repeated wear during rehabilitation or long-term arthritis management.
Customizable Compression Fit
Multiple strap adjustments allow precise sizing, even for large thighs, using cuttable hook-and-loop ends for enhanced compression.
Universal Bilateral Use
Works on either leg for OA, arthritis, or ligament support, reducing pressure on affected joint compartments during movement.
Comfort-Driven Design
Strategic ventilation and inner padding increase comfort, reduce skin irritation, and support extended wear through work or activity.
Who Is It For?
The Aryse Metforce OA Hinged Knee Brace is specially designed for:
- Individuals with mild to moderate osteoarthritis (OA) in the knee.
- People experiencing knee pain, stiffness, or instability during daily movement.
- Those recovering from ligament injuries (MCL, LCL, ACL, or PCL support).
- Active adults and athletes who need extra stability during exercise or sports.
- Anyone looking to unload pressure on the knee joint to reduce discomfort and improve mobility.
How to Put on a Hinged Knee Brace?
The Metforce OA Adjustable Hinged Knee Brace is available for both left and right legs. For valgus correction (knees turning inward), position the hinge on the inside of the affected leg. For varus correction (knees bowing outward), place it on the outside.
Wear Instructions
- Fully unfasten all straps.
- Align the hinge with the center of the knee joint.
- Starting with Strap 1, fasten the straps in numbered sequence.
- Use the included Allen wrench to fine-tune valgus/varus adjustments.
Range of Motion Settings
- Loosen hinge screws with the provided screwdriver.
- Insert flexion stop at the back and extension stop at the front.
- Reattach screws to lock settings.
Always match both hinges. Only a licensed provider should adjust ROM.

Do OA knee braces help with arthritis?
Yes. An OA knee brace shifts pressure away from the affected joint area. The shifting helps reduce pain, improve balance, and support daily activities like walking or standing.
How does this brace relieve bone-on-bone arthritis?
The hinge and pressure system reduce direct joint compression. This offloading eases discomfort in bone-on-bone arthritis by stabilizing the knee and controlling motion without restricting everyday function.
How should this brace fit?
The brace should feel snug but not tight. You should be able to slide two fingers between your skin and the brace for proper circulation and comfort.
Can I wear it during sleep?
No. Hinged braces are designed for active use. Wearing one overnight may interrupt circulation or cause swelling, especially in older adults or those with vascular conditions.
When should I wear this during the day?
Most patients wear it while active, walking, exercising, or recovering. For chronic arthritis, wear during movement-heavy periods. Remove during rest unless your provider instructs otherwise.
What makes this brace different from compression sleeves?
Unlike a compression knee brace, this hinged model controls joint alignment and movement, making it ideal for instability, surgery recovery, or ACL injury rehabilitation.
