How to Apply CGM on the Body?

Follow these steps to apply your sensor correctly:

1. Take an alcohol wipe and clean the area where you plan to apply the sensor.
2. Remove the sensor from its packaging and peel off the backing.
3. Press the applicator firmly against your skin until you hear a click — the sensor inserts automatically.
4. Press the start button on the sensor to begin your session.
5. Wait 60 minutes for the warm-up period before your first reading appears.
6. Open the FreeStyle Libre 3 app on your phone — readings will appear automatically every minute.

Common Issues & their prevention:

• Side sleepers: Avoid placing the sensor on the side you normally sleep on to prevent false low readings at night.

• Readings don’t match symptoms: If your sensor reading doesn’t match how you feel, perform a fingerstick blood glucose test to confirm. Always follow your doctor’s guidance for treatment decisions.
• High Vitamin C intake: High levels of Vitamin C can affect sensor accuracy. Check the user manual for details.
• MRI scans: Wait 1 hour after an MRI before relying on sensor readings. CT scans and X-rays do not affect sensor performance.
