How to Properly Wear and Use the SC-2008-DL

  1. Preparation and Setup – Unpack the pump, compression garments (use simultaneously), cord, blocker bar, end caps and unroll the garments. Position the pump and connect power by plugging it into pump.
  2. Selecting and applying the garment – choose leg garments for the lower body and arm sleeves for the upper body. Prepare the skin by cleaning and drying with no lotions. Unzip the garment, slide the foot or arm and pull up the compression garments with the straps.
  3. Connecting the Garments to the Pump:  → Locate ports: Numbered on pump matching garment’s 8-chamber bar → Insert: Align numbers, squeeze clips, and push to “click,” use blocker bar for unused ports on single limb or no blockers for dual limbs → Check: Hoses are straight, unkinked, and routed away from the body.
  4. Adjusting Settings: Power off the device, then hold “SET” for 5 seconds to enter setup mode. Use UP/DOWN arrows to customize pressure (10–120 mmHg), cycle (60–120 sec), and time (10–120 min or continuous), with optional focus mode for 3 chambers. Press “SET” to confirm; mid-use adjustments can be made by holding the UP arrow for 5 seconds.
  5. Starting and Using the Device – Power on → display shows settings; sequential inflation begins → sit/recline, elevate limbs above heart, stay relaxed → monitor distal-to-proximal fluid movement; use “Play/Pause” to stop → follow prescribed session length (e.g., 30–60 min, 1–2x/day) → end: press power, hold as it deflates, squeeze clips to disconnect, unzip/slide off.
  6. Safety Precautions – Avoid use with infections, DVT, heart failure, or open wounds unless approved → stop if pain, numbness, skin changes, or discomfort occur → use only as directed by a doctor; no alterations, keep away from water, heat, and electronics, inspect before each use → diabetics should monitor glucose (e.g., Dexcom G7) during sessions.
  7. Cleaning and Maintenance – After use, wipe pump and tubing with a damp soapy cloth and air out garments → soak garments in warm soapy water (30 min), rinse, optionally disinfect with diluted bleach, then air dry → store in a cool, dry place or original packaging → check usage hours by holding “Play/Pause” 5–10 sec → if no inflation, check connections/power and contact Bio Compression.
