Manufactured by Beta Bionics, these Fiasp PumpCart (insulin aspart) prefilled insulin cartridges are cleared to work with ILet Bionic Pancreas (an automatic insulin injector), thus eliminating the need for manual refills. This insulin pump is indicated for people aged 6 and older living with type 1 diabetes.
- Prescription Required: The iLet Bionic Pancreas system requires a prescription and proper training. Incorrect use may lead to over- or under-delivery of insulin, causing hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia.
- Compatible Insulins: Use only rapid-acting U-100 insulins like NovoLog, Humalog, or Fiasp PumpCart (pre-filled 1.6mL cartridge). These are safe for up to 72 hours in the iLet system.
- Training: Do not use the system without adequate training from a healthcare provider. Ensure you receive comprehensive instruction and demonstrate competency in its operation to guarantee safe and effective use.
- Medical Procedures: The iLet is magnetic resonance (MR) unsafe. Remove the device before MR procedures and follow your healthcare provider’s instructions for managing insulin during disconnection.
